I like very much to paint pears.
They have particular texture and colours.
This pastel work is based on a beautiful photo that I found on flickr.

During my visit to Florence I took a number of ideas on subjects to paint.

In the Museo Dell'opera Del Duomo I took some photos on frescos that I use now to reproduce on pastel medium. This is the first work.

Florence, Italy

Last week I visited Florence in Italy.

Florence is really a source of inspiration for artists. Beautiful monuments, great art museums, like Ufizzi Gallery, Accademia Gallery or the Palazzo Pitti, a lot of street artists, amazing street scenes.

I took with me a lot of ideias to paint.

This sketch, drawn last October 2007, was one of my first pastel.
I appreciate to draw simple everyday matters like this.

Kiwi

Today I painted a kiwi.
I'm preparing some sketchs with different kind of fruit, as a request from my son to decorate the kitchen of his new house.

This is one of my first watercolors, painted based on a photo of Óbidos.
Óbidos is a village, in the Center of Portugal, inside a castel, with a lot of motifs to paint.
